How many times do you dismiss the “breathe” notification on your Apple Watch each day? Or, just ignore the time block you added to your Google calendar every morning reminding you to meditate?
We often overcomplicate things by thinking everything always needs to be perfect in order to make it effective. When we think of meditating, so many of us imagine ourselves in our stylish yoga pants, on a comfy yoga mat, legs crossed, effortlessly ignoring the outside world while we listen to spa music softly playing in the background. The reality is that many of us don’t have the time to set-up this picturesque idea.
Just because something can’t be “perfect” doesn’t mean we shouldn’t at least try. Even if you are stretched for time, take just ONE minute to stop, relax your brain, let go of your tension and just focus on breathing.
For the remainder of our 21-Day Reset, we challenge you to set aside at least one-minute each day to just breathe.
